Unlocking every child’s and adult’s communication potential — one word, one sentence, one confident voice at a time.
Speech-Language Therapy (SLT) is a clinical discipline that evaluates, diagnoses and treats disorders of communication, language, speech, fluency, voice, literacy and swallowing. Our certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) work with individuals across the full lifespan — from toddlers who are not yet talking to adults recovering from stroke or neurological conditions.
At Sherin’s Rainbow, our Speech Therapy programme uses play-based, naturalistic approaches for young children and structured, evidence-based intervention frameworks for older children and adults. We draw on approaches including PROMPT, Hanen, PECS, Makaton, Lidcombe, ReST and Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme depending on each client’s profile and goals.
Every client receives a comprehensive communication assessment before therapy begins, ensuring the intervention plan is precisely targeted, meaningful and family-centred from day one.
A thorough evaluation of speech, language, literacy, social communication, voice and fluency using standardised and informal tools appropriate for the client’s age and abilities.
A comprehensive written report outlining the communication profile, diagnosis, severity, strengths and a prioritised set of therapy goals.
Selection of the most evidence-based approach for the specific communication need — whether that’s PROMPT for CAS, Lidcombe for stuttering or Hanen for language delay.
Individual and small-group sessions using engaging, age-appropriate activities to systematically build targeted communication skills.
Comprehensive coaching for parents and caregivers with specific, easy-to-implement strategies and daily practice activities to accelerate progress.
Formal reassessment every 3 months with updated goals and a clear communication about what has been achieved and what comes next.
